David and Karla’s Wedding


Beyond Sushi recently catered to our first wedding ever back in June. David and Karla’s wedding took place in the beautiful space of The Foundry located in Long Island City. Both of them are longtime vegan, so a vegan wedding was a must!

Our mission was to help make their big day a perfect celebration by serving beautiful and delicious food. With that in mind, we brought some of our best comforting, healthy food to the wedding: A Beyond Sushi live station, a Mediterranean station, passing hors d’oeuvres, salad, entree, and passing desserts.


Our sushi station included the signature rolls and pieces. It also comes with fresh edamame and seaweed salad. For passing hors d’oeuvres, we included an extensive menu made with fresh ingredients. Most popular items were the mini vegan tacos, seaweed caviar blini, and cauliflower panna cotta.

For plated meals, starter was Kale Ceasar Salad topped with grilled peaches and rosemary infused polenta croutons.


Entree was Seitan Picatta that included seitan on a bed of creamed kale, oyster mushrooms, and rosemary-infused baby Yukon potatoes with lemon-caper sauce.



Another option was Kabocha Squash Ravioli with kabocha squash and sage purée topped with roasted garlic aioli.
